#AGRInspired - Your Journey, Your Lane

1 Corinthians 7:17a

Only let each person lead the life that the Lord has assigned to him, and to which God has called him.

Car accidents happen when two vehicles try to occupy the same space at the same time. There is approximately 51 miles (271,709 ft) around highway 695 in Baltimore, MD. If multiplied by the number of lanes on the beltway, I ‘m sure there is sufficient amount of space for EVERYONE to journey together without accidents…HOWEVER, just about every day, someone is involved in a car accident. Someone failed to yield, or wait for their own opportunity to change lanes. Some are distracted while journeying and fail to stop or slow down based on new traffic patterns.

The same reality can be said as it relates to our SPIRITUAL JOURNEY. We cannot occupy a space that someone else has already occupied. Today my brothers and sisters, I’d like to remind you that God is calling you to occupy space He made specifically for you! To be honest, some people occupy well! Let’s keep it real, some look good at what they do and it becomes tempting to do also as we SEE. But when you are journeying in your own lane, it will always become attractive to someone else. Have you ever been in a traffic jam and looked to the left or right lane and cars seem to be flowing without delay? That is a spiritual depiction of what happens when you are in the wrong lane while watching others progress. Be encouraged to know that God has a lane created just for you. When journeying with Jesus Christ, He is able to create a lane just for you, in the midst of a traffic jam! Yes, troubled times may come, but Christ will provide sufficient fuel, space, and opportunities for you to occupy well!
