Gospel Recording Artist Tim Bowman Jr. and New Wife Brelyn Saved Themselves for Marriage

Tim Bowman and new wife, Brelyn, tied the knot earlier this month on October 10, 2015. After the wedding, they proudly announced that they were both virgins prior to their wedding day. Brelyn

also presented an official certificate of purity to her father, Pastor Mike Freeman of Spirit of Faith Christian Center in MD, at the wedding.

Surprisingly, although greatly supported by many, Brelyn also received a lot of backlash for her purity certificate as well as going so far to have a doctor sign it after being examined. Her father, Pastor Freeman, put it perfectly in response to the backlash: "Who knew that a pic like this would get so much negativity but a natural man will not understand things of the Spirit for they are foolishness to them!!! #meetthebowmans #readyourbible #prayingforyou," the senior pastor wrote.

In this day and time, Jesus' teachings and commands in the bible are taken so lightly, even for believers. Many believe that Scriptures on sexual purity are outdated and archaic and does not apply today. However, everything in scripture is absolutely relatable to present times and we commend Tim and Brelyn for standing on the word of God.They are on a mission to "make Jesus famous", and given the amount of exposure their story is getting, they are doing just that! The message from their story shows that it is very possible, as a young couple, to still do things God's way! Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Tim Bowman Jr. on their marriage. It is our prayer that they will continue to stand for Jesus and encourage others to do the same.
